The Evanston Recreation Division's facilities include three community centers, a senior center, five public swimming beaches, plus a dog park and a dog beach. The Parks/Forestry and Recreation Department operates the Evanston Ecology Center and the Noyes Cultural Arts Center.

The Recreation Division also manages two theatre programs to provide year-round entertainment: the Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre and the Evanston Children's Theatre.

Preschoolers love our ballet, pee wee sports and gymnastics programs; teens can ice-skate with friends or take a class in hip hop or fencing; adults of all ages are invited to exercise or learn a new skill; and adults age 55 and older can make friends and enjoy new activities at the Levy Senior Center, their home away from home.

In addition to participating in our Recreation Division classes or programs, people with special needs can participate in social and sports programs offered by the Special Recreation Division.
