CONTEST YOUR PARKING TICKET

You have 10 days from the date of issuance to contest a parking ticket.  If you contest your ticket within the 10-day filing period, no penalties will be assessed while your case is being reviewed.

Once a ticket has been contested, you may not resubmit it for review again through the City of Evanston.  However, you may appeal the determination by the City of Evanston by filing a request for an Administrative Review within 35 days of the final disposition with the Skokie Circuit Court located at 5600 Old Orchard Road, Skokie, IL 60077.

You may only use ONE of the following methods to contest your ticket:

  1. Contest Your Parking Ticket by Mail
  2. Request an In-Person Hearing by Mail
  3. Contest Your Parking Ticket Online or 4. Request an In-Person Hearing Online
  4. is currently unavailable while the City of Evanston implements a new parking citation tracking initiative. In the meantime, please consider either scheduling an in-person hearing by calling the citation line at 1-888-232-9326 or requesting a written hearing by completing the section on the citation with your name, address and phone number, submitting a signed statement of relevant facts and provide all evidence necessary to support your case. Please mail this information to the Hearings Division, 2100 Ridge Avenue, Room 2700, Evanston, IL 60201. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working towards the online contest system being restored as soon as possible.
